The Triangle Question "A method to determine moral behavior in ambiguous, conflicting, complex, and convoluted situations."

December 28, 2018

Imagine a person to your left and a person to your right. The person to your right has a button. They are going to press their button. When they do, they are going to knowingly kill the person to your left. The person to your left does not have a button. You also have a button. If you choose to press your button, you knowingly kill the person to your right preventing them from pressing their button and, therefore, knowingly save the person to your left who does not have a button.

What will you do?

This serves as a method to determine moral behavior in ambiguous, conflicting, complex, and convoluted situations.
